Preserving Language, Empowering Lives: Auron Nexora Ltd's Commitment to the Suba Community
At Auron Nexora Ltd, we believe that the most powerful events are not held in conference halls they happen in communities. Our Corporate Social Responsibility agenda is rooted in a
simple conviction: that when young people are educated and cultures are preserved, entire
futures are unlocked.
That belief has drawn us to the Suba community, home to one of Kenya’s most endangered
languages, and to the hills of Gwasi where the need is real and the potential is extraordinary.
Giving Education a Stage in Gwasi Hills
In partnership with local organisations in Suba County, Auron Nexora Ltd sponsors the
education of orphaned girls in Gwasi Hills covering school fees, learning materials, and basic needs. We also support widows in the community through shelter-building initiatives,
ensuring that children have a stable home from which to dream and grow.
Our rallying call in this initiative mirrors the spirit of the community’s own: “Omwiseke yachiri kwisoma” The girl must go to school.
A Story Worth Telling: Akinyi's Journey
Akinyi was eleven years old when she lost both parents. Quiet and sharp-minded, she had a habit of writing down everything she observed but without support, her notebooks were at risk of becoming the fullest chapter of her story.
Through Auron Nexora Ltd’s education sponsorship programme, Akinyi was enrolled in a supported school placement in Suba County. Today, she is in Form Three, top of her class in Sciences, and speaks openly about becoming a clinical officer. Her favourite subject? Biology because, she says, “it explains how things work, and I want to fix things.”
Akinyi’s story is not unique in Gwasi Hills. But it is a reminder of what becomes possible
when an organisation chooses to invest not just in events but in people.
